SAA-accredited only
Every installer we brief holds current Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation, the requirement for STC rebate eligibility since it replaced CEC accreditation in 2024. We favour NETCC Approved Sellers on top of that.
Rebates done properly
Federal STCs come off the price up front. Where your state or territory adds its own rebate or interest-free loan, we'll tell you what you qualify for.
Warranties in writing
Panel performance, inverter, and workmanship warranties are listed separately on each quote, because they're rarely the same length, and that's where the value hides.
We're paid by installers
Our service costs you nothing. Installers pay us a referral fee, and it's the same fee regardless of who you pick, so we've no reason to push one over another.
Honest payback maths
Estimates use your actual consumption and current feed-in tariffs, not best-case sunshine. If solar doesn't stack up for your roof, we'll say so.
Positioned to self-consume
Where the panels go decides what you actually save. We push for a layout that generates when you're using power, not one that just maximises a number on the quote.
Why I do this
I put solar on my parents' roof back in 2016. Then on a friend's, and then on a few more. I did it because the numbers were obviously good and it bothered me that people were talking themselves out of it.
That's still the test. Where the economics stack up, I'll do my best to show you that. Where they don't (a shaded roof, a rental you're leaving, a bill too small to justify it), I'll tell you that instead of selling you something.
The part I care most about is where the panels actually go. Plenty of quotes maximise total annual generation and call it a day. That's the wrong target. Power you export earns you a feed-in tariff of a few cents; power you use yourself saves you the full retail rate, often five or six times more. So the question isn't just how much you generate, it's when. A west-facing string that covers your evening load can beat a north-facing one that peaks at noon while the house is empty.
That's what I check on every quote before it reaches you: orientation, string layout, and shading, against the hours you're actually home.

Common questions
What does this cost me?
Nothing. We're paid a referral fee by the installer if you go ahead, the same fee whichever one you choose. You're never invoiced by us, and there's no obligation to proceed with any quote.
Do you install the panels yourselves?
No. We're a broker, not an installer. The work is quoted, warranted and carried out by the SAA-accredited installer you choose, and your contract is directly with them.
How much will I actually save?
It depends on your consumption, roof orientation and local feed-in tariff. A typical Perth household with a 6.6kW system offsets a large share of its daytime usage, with payback commonly landing in the three-to-six-year range. Your quotes will carry an estimate based on your own numbers rather than an average.
Does it matter where on the roof the panels go?
More than most people are told. Exported power earns you a feed-in tariff of a few cents per kWh; power you use as you generate it saves you the full retail rate, which is several times higher. So a layout tuned to your household's actual usage hours will usually beat one tuned purely for peak output. If you're out all day and home in the evening, west-facing capacity can be worth more than north-facing. We review orientation, string layout and shading on every quote before it reaches you.
What about a battery?
Mention it in the form and we'll have quotes priced both with and without, so you can see what the battery adds and what it saves. Battery payback is longer than panels alone, and worth deciding on with real figures in front of you.
How long does it take?
Most quotes come back within two business days. Complex roofs, three-phase supply or battery retrofits can take a little longer.
